Success stories
"I have been volunteering for this Aspire North for two years now. The role of a volunteer involves going into schools to assist with talks as well as having the opportunities to talk to pupils about your studies and help to inspire them to move into further education. We also help with the running of open days of universities and colleges. Overall this is a really inspiring organisation and it is an absolute pleasure to be a volunteer and being able to see pupils move into further education."
Shadri Nel
"I found out about Aspire North through my university in Inverness a couple of years ago. I saw the opportunity to help out as a volunteer as a refreshing change from my degree studies. It turned out to be much more than that. I have gained insight into socio-economic factors affecting many young people’s education and a range of support available.  For me this has come in the form of residential events, where teamwork, inclusion, independence and fun were encouraged. Working with the Aspire North staff and volunteers is a motivating experience which has ultimately provided me much hope and joy."
Andy Shepherd
"Since my third year of high school, I have worked with AspireNorth by attending many university and residential trips they organised. They have been able to show me my options and different paths for achieving my aspirations.
I have now continued on with AspireNorth as a volunteer as it is an organisation close to my heart and wish to help them continue their important work."
